Training & Recruitment
Caledonia Healthcare is a are member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and work to their strict code of conduct, so that all our staff go through a rigorous recruitment process.
All staff have an enhanced disclosure Scotland check.
Our nurses are all registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and are PIN checked every year.
Mandatory training in people handling, REHIS elementary food hygiene and the management of challenging behaviour is delivered to all staff by our in-house trainers.
Training is also provided in Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA), Fire Awareness, Infection Control and Loss and Bereavement.
Staff are also given access to client specific training as and when required, such as Epilepsy Awareness with/without administration of Midazolam and the Autistic Spectrum.
