Why did you select Caledonia Healthcare?
We selected Caledonia as they responded very quickly to our mothers needs, in fact they met us and our mother the very same day we contacted them. Caledonia also demonstrated that they fully understood the nature of our mothers needs and were capable of delivering professional and reliable care 24 hours per day, seven days a week .
Where did you hear about Caledonia?
We researched the internet and spoke to some friends within the nursing profession who were aware of Caledonia and recommended their services. After speaking to seven or eight other care providers it became clear that Caledonia were our first choice.
How do the staff care for and support your mum?
Through discussion with our mother and her family, the staff at Caledonia have developed a comprehensive and professional care plan that sets out the best possible care and support for our mother. Mum's Caledonia carers fully understand her needs and preferences and all staff work hard to keep our mother safe, content and fully supported in her own home
Why would you recommend Caledonia/benefits of using our agency?
We would recommend Caledonia as they truly take an interest in our mothers needs and have the professional capability to meet these needs. As staff spend extended periods of time with our mother, Caledonia also understand the need to provide carers who genuinely enjoy their work and get on well with our mother. Using Caledonia to support our mothers needs in her own home has been extremely beneficial to our mothers general wellbeing and compares highly favourably to the quality of care that she briefly received in a care home environment.

In the summer of 2010 my mother’s deteriorating health made full time live-in care necessary. As it took a few weeks to find the right person, a pressing need arose to fill the gap using the services of an agency. I followed up an advert in Yellow Pages and this soon led to a visit to my mother’s home by Margaret Alexander of Caledonia Healthcare.
The above visit by Margaret was so very professional, caring and courteous. Regular visits by a number of Caledonia Healthcare’s carers were arranged so that care around the clock could be provided for the required period. In so far as possible continuity of carers was achieved. A trusting relationship between my mother, our family and Caledonia Healthcare very quickly developed.
My mother and members of our family were immediately impressed by the quality of the carers – all of whom, and without exception, proved more than qualified and capable for the tasks required. They did not require to be told what to do. The carers all knew exactly what to do and from the outset my mother became very close to them. The warmth and commitment shown by the carers was always very evident.
If at any time there was a problem in a carer attending my mother’s house, whether due to ill health or otherwise, the agency quickly stepped in and within a short period of time resolved the problem by finding an alternative carer and driving her to my mother’s home if necessary. Caledonia Healthcare ensured that at no time was my mother left unattended.
The administration side of the caring was immaculate - without mistake or hassle. This made the processing of paperwork straightforward.
It became clear from the outset that Caledonia Healthcare is extremely well organized and managed by people who know exactly what is required and who can deliver services of the highest standard without fuss or delay.
It was most notable that my mother was rather sad when the carers made their last visits. She enjoyed their company very much, found them extremely helpful and supportive and indeed became rather fond of them.
My family would recommend Caledonia Healthcare without hesitation or qualification.
