Our Charities
Caledonia always has an ongoing nominated charity, and for the past 3 years we have been working hard to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind – Sponsor a Puppy Campaign. Through the generous support of our clients and mainly our staff, we have managed to reach the target funding required to sponsor the training of Calley, our guide dog puppy.
As you can see Calley is a beautiful yellow labrador and retriever cross (which is one of the best mixes for a successful guide dog!), and she has a perfect temperament.
Calley had her 1st birthday on the 8th January 2011, when her puppy walker brought her in to the Caledonia office for the last time, to bring us up to date with her progress. Sadly, we shan’t see her again as this is the policy of Guide Dogs for the Blind. When she’s fully trained her new owner can only guess at all the hard work and generosity of others that went into the successful fundraising for the training of their wonderful working dog!
We are proud to announce our new partnership with Riding for the Disabled, who we are very much looking forward to working with.
